Introduction
Security within products is the need of the hour across manufacturing organizations, more so within semiconductor manufacturing. Secure by Design is an imperative that organizations are adopting very rapidly. This is very critical for the manufacturing industry as it is the most targeted industry for cybersecurity attacks in the last year. The graphic below from IBM’s latest threat intel report shows the targets of major attacks per industry for a period from 2019 to 2023. The share of manufacturing is steadily increasing year-over-year, as it gets targeted by increasingly sophisticated attacks.
